Suzuki WagonR Facelifted Will Look Like This PDF Print
Monday, 01 February 2010 19:30

The Maruti WagonR has outsold many models and is still selling strong after a decade in its 2nd major avatar. The time has come for Maruti to give it a facelift and a new BharatIV engine. Obviously one of the K-Series engines will go into it. I think it will be the 1 Litre one and not the 1.2 because the latter powers the Swift and the Ritz which are both much bigger cars. See for yourself some the pictures leaked online. In Europe, the Splash (Called Ritz in India) was the replacement for this car. However it continues to be sold in many countries and is almost a different segment in India (Ritz comfortably slots above it). It was not called Splash because in India, Ford hold the rights to this name already. Have a look see.

Looks super chinese from the back

One cannot imagine the amount of money Maruti took home this month. They sold 95649 cars across all segments they operate in and they are just expanding in the UV market which has been Mahindra's bastion till now.

The best and the worst performers in Indian car market

According to a poll by probably TOI, here is the list of the 6 best performing cars in terms of sales of course. The reasons for them to be the best performers can be many, but they sure fly off the showroom shelves really fast.
