Yes I agree that December is a slow month and the slowness is offset only by massive discounts thrown in by manufacturers like Ford every year and Chevrolet and Tata this year but still this is a little too much to expect from a brand which has a premium hatchback in it's line up with three engine options and the gorgeous looking sedan which is awesome value for money (too long this sentence). Anyway FIAT India sold just and I say again...just 1008 cars this Decmeber, which is scary. They sold 1965 cars in November which was down but still okay. This is a little unexpected but I still do not have the separate figures for Linea and Punto. FIAT should be thinking what to do now because their partner in the Indian market TATA sold 20706 cars in November and was down to 14654 cars in December. Manza is selling comfortably about 5000 units of this month. December was about 5000 units and November was 5900 units which is not a decline considering its the end of the year. FIAT needs to get this straightened up and get the product quality in line with others. I have seen enough Linea's with half the alphabets of the badging EMOTION missing from the boot lid. The chrome strips fall off soon and the dumb looking mud flaps that TATA dealers drill (yes you read it right, they are drilled into the car) into the bumpers of these cars are not a pleasant scene on the roads. They need to get some more liveliness into the brand and launch a small car sooner. The Linea T-Jet should also come in January with a good price too but before all that please fix the after sales service issues and the dreaded seat lever which is made of diseased plastic or something. I bet you will think the same when you sit on the drivers seat of a Punto.

Maruti Suzuki Jan2010 Sales Analysis
One cannot imagine the amount of money Maruti took home this month. They sold 95649 cars across all segments they operate in and they are just expanding in the UV market which has been Mahindra's bastion till now.
The best and the worst performers in Indian car market
According to a poll by probably TOI, here is the list of the 6 best performing cars in terms of sales of course. The reasons for them to be the best performers can be many, but they sure fly off the showroom shelves really fast. According to the report, the indian car market churns about 400 different models and variants from 20 manufacturers. These 6 best selling cars make about 63% of total sales in India, which I think Forum Link...
