New Delhi, November 02, 2009 India’s car market leader Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold a total of 85,415 vehicles in October 2009, growing 32.4 per cent in the month. This includes 13,864 units of exports. The company had sold a total of 64,490 vehicles in October 2008, including 5,363 nos for export markets. The sales in A2 segment grew by 18.4 per cent while in the A3 segment the sales growth was 62.7 per cent, as compared to October 2008. | ||||||||

One cannot imagine the amount of money Maruti took home this month. They sold 95649 cars across all segments they operate in and they are just expanding in the UV market which has been Mahindra's bastion till now.
The best and the worst performers in Indian car market
According to a poll by probably TOI, here is the list of the 6 best performing cars in terms of sales of course. The reasons for them to be the best performers can be many, but they sure fly off the showroom shelves really fast.
