Here is a family grille giving ceremony gone wrong though we are lucky since it has not reached India. When it does, it will be worse for the already low sales figures the Outlander here. What you see below is the Outlander in it's existing avatar and then the next pic is it getting the 'phamily' grille of the new Mitsubishi's which is awesome on the Lancer based EVO X but looks plane jane chinese duplicate job on the Outlander. They could have done it well you would think only when you see the Lancer, but they spoilt it. THE ORIGINAL OUTLANDER AS IT SELLS HERE THE OUTLANDER 2010 WITH THE MITSUBISHI GRILLE
WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE LIKE THIS - THE EVO X
Clearly they should have put a little more work, into this specially when almost every manufacturer is giving similar grilles to its cars as well as SUV's. The EVO X looks like a wild cat and so much more agressive in its new form compared to the EVO IX. THE EVO IX

GM sold a good number of cars this month 9421 units to be exact and almost every month they attain the highest sales ever for them in India. This is natural since more people are slowly accepting Chevrolet as a main stream brand and are ready to let go of their tried and tested Hyundai's and Maruti's for the more contemporary line up of Chevrolet. We will start with the newest Beat which sold an excellent 2825 units this month which is fairly surprising for a Chevolet car in its 2nd month. It seems like the Beat has taken a toll on the Spark which is down to 3477 units this month from a previous high of 4500 cars approximately. Beat LT which sells at 4.6 OTR in Pune is sure swaying buyers away from the Spark LT which sells at 3.8 OTR Pune. The difference being a mere Rs. 80,000, Chevrolet is reaping the benifits of aggressively pricing the Beat. They should do a quick job of getting the Spark 800 with the new Chevrolet signature grill which in my opinion looks excellent and was showcased in the Delhi Auto Expo with the Spark Electric. A snap is below.
The cool FIAT 500 kinda look here.
The Aveo UV-A did 434 and the sedan did 364. Both these models need to be refreshed and are too old and boring. I wonder how they sold so many. Captiva is down to 72 from those 200+ numbers that it did about an year ago. Maybe because it is the Daewoo Winstorm and elite just saw the Korean website of this SUV The Cruze is still doing well and sold a 686 units this month. It has already beaten the Skoda's and the Honda Civics and is slotted just around the Altis, which clearly shows that the Indian cusotmer wants value for money which Chevrolet is giving for almost every model. The Optra sold just 51 units and its lineage as a Daewoo is very strong. There are more exciting options at this price point and even if the car is localised to be priced well, it is getting a little too old in the market. The car is excellent though with great handling and is a good package overall. GM is not pushing it much so it is not the cars fault. Tavera did about 1600 units which is usual and is one the main bread earners for the company. No surprises here. Good going overall. Sales are almost three times higher than what they were exactly an year ago (3937 units). Also notable is that the Beat has already got about 10000 bookings which was unexpected as I said earlier for a car by Chevrolet. They would have delivered about 3500 already so the aseembly lines are busy for sure for the next couple of months.

Here is a bit of news for everyone who owns a 2008 and earlier Ford Fiesta Petrol. There have been problems reported in the Power Steering pump of the car. After excessive usage, the power steering fluid could leak because apparently one of the pipes interferes with another part of the car and could get damaged. This would cause the leak and eventually the power steering system could fail. No reason to panic because if your car is running fine now, it probably is fine. The best thing to do is call the nearest dealer and schedule an appointment immediately. Get your car checked and if this is a problem in your car, the pipes will be replaced free of cost and as soon as possible. I got to know of this during the last service of my car. My car was fine though there are some adjustments made to the mechanicals for this to not happen in the future. This was immediately done. The problem has been fixed in the later versions of the car. Their is nothing officially declared by Ford India for this particular issue and they have not even contacted the customers themselves to see if the cars are doing fine. Doing so, will actually make it a product recall which they are shying away from possibly.

The Maruti WagonR has outsold many models and is still selling strong after a decade in its 2nd major avatar. The time has come for Maruti to give it a facelift and a new BharatIV engine. Obviously one of the K-Series engines will go into it. I think it will be the 1 Litre one and not the 1.2 because the latter powers the Swift and the Ritz which are both much bigger cars. See for yourself some the pictures leaked online. In Europe, the Splash (Called Ritz in India) was the replacement for this car. However it continues to be sold in many countries and is almost a different segment in India (Ritz comfortably slots above it). It was not called Splash because in India, Ford hold the rights to this name already. Have a look see.

Looks super chinese from the back

Guys, GM has released the pictures of the Aveo RS Concept and looking at it, it feels more like a production car than a concept and going by what we have seen in the Beat, I think the mass produced car will look not very different than this. This should be the next logical upgrade to the Aveo UV-A because the present one looks as simple as a Cotton King Shirt. Anyway, the curves are back with a bang and the Beat like back is agressive yet very radical. We can be sure that the rear lights will look exactly like this because Beat too has them which were carried over straight from the concept with no loss of wickedness. The spoiler is built into the body and the center exhaust at the rear is something that might be changed to something more practical. The front is very Ford Europish but then most of the designs are becoming that now. The sweeping shoulder line which starts from the front fender to the rear one makes it look handsome and the rear door lever is again in the window which gives a nice two door look to the car. This is the same as the Beat. Nice. The grille is the typical New Chevrolet one sported by all three cars, Cruxe, Beat and this one. Spark too will get a similar front soon.
The cockpit is very Cruze and Beat like, kind of those Transformers quadrilaterals. I can even see a rear disc brake, all shiny blue and all but of course it will come with a drum to India. What this indicates is an aggressive engine inside demading more stopping power. So let's see what we get but I bet it will be the same 1.216V DOHC @80PS that does duty in the Beat (huh again this Beat).
